We love to keep our small-group tours to eight persons or less since intimacy and a chance to have real dialogue with a historian are part of the quality that we aim for.

Each guide at Insight Cities does their best to navigate participants through their tour and remind everyone of safety precautions, but each member of the group is responsible for their own safety. For precise details of LIABILITY AND RESPONSIBILITY, please read our full disclosure here.

Yes, if you are a group affiliated with any educational program or institution, please get in touch with us at info@insightcities.com so that we can arrange a discounted tour. Everyone who guides with us loves touring students and we’ve had many high school and university groups on our walks!

Absolutely and whenever we can. At Insight Cities, we try to be as inclusive as possible. We’ve been proud to arrange touring for blind travelers as well as for those with a range of mobility issues. We can work out a number of transportation options and possible tour route modifications. So, if you have any particular disability, please email us beforehand at info@insightcities.com and we will do our best to ensure the tour works for you.

In most cases, after you book, we send you the photo, bio and phone number of your guide who will be looking out for you at meeting points and have your information or, in the case of private walks, be meeting you at your hotel or accomodation. Otherwise, your arranged guide will be at the meeting point holding a sign with our Insight Cities logo.

Our walks operate rain or shine, though, in the case of inclement weather, our guides often make alterations for our guests’ comfort, such as visiting more indoor spaces in foul weather or stopping for a short break to warm up in a café if the group wishes.

CANCELLATION

If you need to cancel and do so within 48 hours before your scheduled tour, Insight Cities is able to give you a full refund. For cancellations that take place within 48 hours before your walk(s), we cannot offer a refund since we need to pay our guides for the time which they reserved for us. We go forward with walks in rain or shine but guides often make alterations to accommodate for weather conditions, visiting more indoor spaces in foul weather, stopping for a short break to warm up in a café if the group wishes, etc.

TIPPING

Tipping is not obligatory but is appreciated. Insight Cities clients often tip from 10-25% of the walk’s price depending on their sense of enjoyment and learning and their own customs.
